WHAT IS REBECCA’S EXPERIENCE IN WEBSITE DESIGN?

Rebecca has been designing websites ever since she was gifted one for her ninth birthday. Since then, she has designed websites for both personal and business reasons, and is comfortable with designing on a variety of servers, including GoDaddy, 1&1 IONOS, Tumblr, Weebly, Wix, and WordPress. She is familiar with HTML and CSS coding, and is currently learning Javascript.

Rebecca was the website editor-in-chief of Dupont Manual’s One Blue Wall Literary Magazine from 2015 to 2017, and in that time she did two complete redesigns of the website, which won, alongside the staff’s magazines, a Columbia Scholastic Press Association Silver Crown in 2017 and a Gold Crown in 2018.

She has also created the websites for Green Hill Therapy, Fiercely Fearless, and The Boola Social News Outlet. She is currently working on Websites for KY  State Representative Tina Bojanowski and the Kentucky Association for Early Childhood Education.

WHAT IS REBECCA’S EXPERIENCE IN GRAPHIC DESIGN?

Rebecca took a digital design class in her sophomore year of high school, moving on with high praise from her design teacher to being a designer on One Blue Wall Literary Magazine’s staff. Her designs are featured in the national award-winning Opalescent and EVO editions.

At Yale, alongside her English degree, she is pursing the Graphic Design track of the Fine Arts major, and has completed the Intro to Graphic Design Class, and is currently enrolled in Typography I.

She is currently an editor of the Yale Daily News, where she does more traditional newsprint design on a weekly basis, as well as leads the production of the WKND edition, which features more creative layout.

She has experience designing for publications, print advertisements, and social media, all of which can be found in the portfolio section.

Rebecca also has experience with logo design and branding, and has done both logo redesigns as well as from-scratch branding creation, helping clients shape their brand’s logo, slogans, color palettes, font books, and more.

She is comfortable doing design work in Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator, as well as online design programs such as Canva and Pixlr. She is also comfortable using management software such as Adobe Bridge and KjoonK4.
